

Carlos G. Garcia entered eternal rest on Friday, January 16, 2026, at a hospice center in Portland, Texas, at the age of 72. He was born on October 15, 1953, to Jose Ovidio Garcia, Sr. and Beatriz Garza Garcia in Falfurrias, Texas.
Before retiring, Carlos worked as a mechanic with DuPont in Ingleside, Texas, for about 38 years. He was also a certified welder, but above all, Carlos was passionate about being a farmer and rancher. He was truly one of the last cowboys and loved horses, hunting, dancing, and celebrating life with family and friends on the farm.
Carlos had a deep passion for helping others and was known for his big heart and countless acts of kindness. He proudly served on the Ramirez ISD School Board for about 10 years as a way to support the youth and community of Ramirez, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Priscilla Perez Garcia; and his brothers, Jose Ovidio Garcia, Jr. and Rene Garcia.
Carlos leaves behind his son, Thomas A. (Roxanna) Garcia of Ingleside, Texas; his daughter, Corina (Rodney Garner) Garcia of Fort Worth, Texas; his love, Nieves Saenz of Ramirez, Texas; his dearly loved sons and daughters of the heart; his brother, Manuel (Corina) Garcia, Sr. of Ramirez, Texas; his sister, Juanita Garcia of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren and their families, Stephanie (Eric Misner) Rudat, Zakary Rudat, Orlando Rene Del Bosque, Jr., Ricardo Del Bosque, Lamar Del Bosque, and Kristina Del Bosque; his loyal dog, Daisy, who was always by his side; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Thomas A. Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Mark Jackson, Noe Perez III, Rene Garcia, and William “Guero” Dieterle. John Meenaghan will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias, Texas, with a Rosary to be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont, Texas. Services will conclude with burial at the Garcia Farm Family Cemetery in Realitos, Texas, off Highway 339 and Ranch Road 1345.
