Catalina Elvira Tapia

Catalina Elvira Tapia is the energetic, spirited and loving eight year old daughter of Gilberto Tapia and Maria Sanchez Tapia. She passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at her father’s residence in Laredo, Texas. Catalina was born on December 27, 2007 in Laredo. She was currently a second grader at Hebbronville Elementary School. As explained by her loving family, Catalina was always into fashion and loved to learn about makeup and nail polish. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Catalina was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by the Lord and her grandfather, Edward Acevedo. She leaves behind to remember all the memories they were blessed with her father, Gilberto Tapia of Laredo; her mother, Maria Tapia of Hebbronville, Texas; brother, Gilberto Tapia, Jr. and sister, Celeste Tapia both of Hebbronville; paternal grandparents, Salome and Juanita Tapia of Laredo, maternal grandmother, Maria Jimenez of Hebbronville; uncles, Jesus (Siboney) Landeros, Jr., Rolando Rios, Jr., Salome Tapia, Jr., and Tony Tapia; aunts, Jessica (Victor Jimenez) Gonzalez, Isabel (Eddie) Landeros, Samantha Gonzalez, Ashley Jimenez, Diana Tapia and Daniella Tapia; and numerous great uncles, great aunts and cousins who will all miss her deeply.

Pallbearers will be Gilberto Tapia, Gilberto Tapia, Jr., Victor Jimenez and Tony Tapia.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
