It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Rios, who entered eternal rest on Friday, May 23, 2025, in Premont, Texas, at the age of 46. Born on November 30, 1978, in Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to loving parents Raul Rios Rocha and Cleotilde Esparza Rios, Elizabeth was a blessing to her family. She devoted many years of her life to caring for others as a compassionate caregiver.
Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and an enduring love that will be forever held in the hearts of her family. She is survived by her devoted parents, Raul and Cleotilde Rios of Premont, Texas, and her beloved siblings: Raul Rios Jr. and Ricky Rios, both of Copperas Cove, Texas; Rodolfo Rios of Premont; Rolando (Julie) Rios of Missoula, Montana; Ruben (Andrea Paisley) Rios of Vancouver, Washington; as well as Rocio Rios and Rogelio Rios, both of Premont. Additionally, Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her 11 nephews, two nieces, her cherished dog, Luna, a wide circle of extended family, friends and two half-sisters Jennifer Rios of Chicago, Illinois and Rita Rios Contreras of Valparaiso, Indiana.
Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias, followed by a Holy Rosary prayer at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont, concluding with her burial at the Premont Cemetery.
