Elmer Lee Smith Jr.

Elmer “Bug” Lee Smith, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 55. He was born on July 30, 1966 to Elmer Lee Smith, Sr. and Veda Mae Norris Smith in Falfurrias, Texas.

Bug was one of the biggest Falfurrias Jerseys fans you could ever meet. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved to joke and laugh and was a man who showed tough love.

Elmer was reunited in Heaven with his father; wife, Maricela Morales Smith and grandmother, Patricia Norris.

He is survived by his sons, Elmer Smith, III, William (Elizabeth Garcia) Sarmiento and Edgar (Monica) Saenz all of Falfurrias; daughter, Janelle (Omar Villarreal) Smith of Falfurrias; mother, Veda Mae Smith of Falfurrias; four brothers, Walter Silvestro (Graciela) Smith of George West, Texas, William Carl (Nellie) Smith, Philo (Sumara) Salinas and Raul (Junie Arevalo) Ramirez, III all of Falfurrias; sister, Teresa Elizabeth Smith of Falfurrias; 15 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Rosary will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.
