Eva A. Martinez, 94 passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 in Hebbronville. She was born on December 26, 1916 in Rio Grande City to Cesilio Alaniz and Benita Garcia. She was a housewife. Preceded in death by her husband Juan Martinez; parents; brothers Eduardo Alaniz and Santos Alaniz; sisters Cecilia and Maclovia Alaniz; granddaughter Ana Maria Saucedo. She is survived by her daughter Graciela M.(+Domingo Jr.) Hernandez of Hebbronville; grandchildren Ricardo Hernandez and Alicia H. Gutierrez; 5 great grandchildren Efrain Gutierrez Jr., Luis Saucedo Jr., Christina Gutierrez, Marcos Gutierrez and Carlos Gutierrez; 3 great great grandchildren Jaydene Gutierrez, Jerediah Gutierrez and Alexavier Gutierrez; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 7pm Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with burial following at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ricardo Hernandez, Luis Saucedo Jr., Marcos Gutierrez, Efrain Gutierrez Jr., David Cipple, Olivero Gomez Jr. and Carlos Javier Gutierrez
