Fernando Canales was welcome into the gates of Heaven on March 26, 2015 at a hospital in Houston, Texas at the age of 74. He was born on May 17, 1940 in Hebbronville, Texas to Pedro Canales and Lilia Cantu Canales. Fernando is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Heriberto Canales and sister, Irma Lee Canales. He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memories his wife, Guadalupe Canales of Hebbronville; sons, Fernando Canales, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas, Raymond Canales of Houston and Ricardo (Laura) Canales of Houston; daughters, Roxanne C. (Mauricio) Balderas of Rosenburg, Texas and Patricia Canales of Houston; brothers, Erasmo Canales (Olga) of Hebbronville, Rene Canales (Celina) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Mario Canales (Norma) of Bruni, Texas; sister, Alma Garcia (Frank) of Houston; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will start at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Realitos Cemetery.
