Jaime Benavides, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 4, 2022, in Falfurrias, Texas, at the age of 50. He was born on September 17, 1971, to Jaime Benavides, Sr. and Diana Perez Benavides in Kingsville, Texas. He served in the National Honor Guard and later worked for many years as a Manager for Long John Silvers in Corpus Christi, Texas. Although he was a quiet person, he was always very welcoming and polite. No one was a stranger to him. He loved music and was very knowledgeable in many genres. He enjoyed fishing with his family in his younger years and was an avid Astros fan his entire life.
Jaime had a true love and appreciation for his mother, the late Diana Benavides. His nephews, Jacob and Joshua, were the light of his life and he adored them. Growing up closer in age with his brother Andy, they shared an undeniable bond. Over the past four years, Jaime grew very attached to his father, who was his rock and his saving grace. Every phone call or conversation with his dad ended with “I love you dad.”
Jaime was reunited in Heaven with his mother; maternal grandparents; Rene and Dometila Perez and paternal grandfather, Adan Benavides, Sr.
He is survived by his father, Jaime (Cindy) Benavides, Sr. of Falfurrias; brothers, Andres Benavides and Michael Omar (Jaclyn) Benavides both of Corpus Christi; grandmother, Hilda Benavides of Kingsville; step-siblings, Debbie Loya and Danny Loya both of McAllen, Texas; uncles, Filomeno Benavides and Adan Benavides, Jr. both of Corpus Christi and Ernesto Benavides of Kingsville and two nephews, Jacob and Joshua Benavides.
Special gratitude is expressed to Jaime’s provider and friend, Letty Garza of Falfurrias.
Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Private burial will take place at a later date.
