Louis Sonny A. Bubenik Jr.

Louis “Sonny” A. Bubenik, Jr., 71, passed away Monday January 3, 2011 at a hospital in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on December 30, 1939 to Louis A. Bubenik, Sr. and Anna Mach Bubenik in Alice, Texas. Growing up, Louis attended the St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Alice, graduated from Alice High School, attended Texas A & I University and then joined the U.S. Army. Louis then worked as a Field Salesman for National Supply for over 20 years and then transferred to Wilson Supply until his retirement. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife Ildefonza Bubenik of McAllen, Texas, sons Trey Louis (Keilah) Bubenik of McAllen, Texas, Michael Odneal and Albert Garza both of San Antonio, Texas, daughter Brenda (Billy) Zak and one grandson Travis Zak all of Corpus Christi, Texas.

The family would like to thank the ICU doctors and staff at the Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance for the devoted care that they provided to Sonny during his illness. A special thank you to Dr. Desai, Nurse Albert Ramirez and Nurse Sean Kendrick. In addition, the family would also like to thank Israel Cadena, Ada Perez, C.J. Love, Blanca Fewox, Elouise Martinez, Luz Molina, Mary Lou Salinas and Robelin Vasquez for their moral support and friendship during our time of need.

A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday January 7, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 8, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.

Burial will follow at the New Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.

Pallbearers will be Israel Cadena, C.J. Love, Joe Lozano, Octavio Martinez, Travis Zak, Albert Garza and Trey Bubenik.
