He was born on February 9, 1973 in Falfurrias, Texas to Homero Zuniga and Graciela Hernandez.
He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Anthony Zuniga; maternal grandmother, Bruni Hernandez and paternal grandfather, Sandalio Zuniga
Marco was well known for his humorous personality and his contagious laugh, "the life of the party" is how you could describe him. He also had a passion for many things such as fishing and hunting but his main love was baseball. One of his proudest moments was in high school where Marco played for the Falfurrias Fighting Jersey Baseball team. He and his teammates brought home the state championship in 1991 proudly putting Falfurrias TX. on the map. Marco would always say "Once a jersey, always a jersey".
Marco leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 29 years, Melissa Zuniga; two daughters, Marissa (Jose Garza) Zuniga, Marisol Zuniga and a son, Marco Antonio Zuniga Jr. Two special nieces he loved as daughters, Brianna and Marlissa Longoria; father, Homero (Lucy) Zuniga; mother, Graciela Charles all of Falfurrias, Texas; a brother, Homer Zuniga of Corpus Christi, Texas; paternal grandmother, Idalia Zuniga of Falfurrias, Texas
Honarary Pallbearers will be David Salinas and Sandy Guerra.
Pallbearers are Jordan Garcia, Raul Tijerina, George Villarreal, Oscar Ramirez, Bradley Sims, and Leo Yzaguirre.
Holy rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with visitation starting at 5 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church
