Margarita Barrera Garza

Margarita Barrera Garza, 85, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. Margarita was born on February 22, 1926 to Toribio Barrera and Maria Gonzalez Barrera in Brooks County, Texas. She was a dedicated and loving housewife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of over 44 years Natalio Garza, son Rodolfo Garza, sister Elica Garcia, and brothers Leopoldo, Lionel, Israel, Toribio Jr., Amadeo and Juan Barrera. She is survived by her two sons Roberto Garza of Woodsboro, TX and Roel (Yvonne) Garza of Falfurrias, TX, daughter Maria America (Adalberto) Davila of Houston, TX, brother Hector (Dora) Barrera of Corpus Christi, TX, sister Celia (Reynaldo) Carbajal of Falfurrias, TX, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.

Burial will follow at the Los Caballos Cemetery in Brooks County.

Pallbearers will be Rey Carbajal Jr., Homer Garza, Bobby Garza, Roel Garza, Rudy Garza Jr. and Ramiro Rodriguez Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Adalberto Davila and Roberto Garza.
