Maria Elena Grimes passed away at her residence on November 23, 2016 surrounded by her loving family she was 81. Maria was born May 18, 1935 to Francisco and Catalina Castro Flores in Ramirez, TX. She was a housewife. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Grimes, two brothers Gilberto Flores and Silvestre Soliz, two sisters Victoria Hernandez and Simona Mendez and a grandson Paul Grimes III.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons Paul (Berlinda) Grimes, Jr. of Cal Allen, TX and Bobby (Juanita) Grimes, Sr. of Kingsville, TX a daughter Glenda Grimes of Falfurrias, TX;also surviving her is a sister Isabel Flores, two grandchildren, Emily Kayte (Aldo) Maldonado of Freer, TX and Robert Steven Grimes, II of Kingsville, a great granddaughter Remi Maldonado and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday November 25, 2016 with a Rosary being held at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday November 26, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
