Trinidad R. Maldonado passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his residence in Hondo, Texas at the age of 69. Trinidad was born on June 2, 1950 to Humberto Maldonado and Ester Rodriguez Maldonado in Falfurrias, Texas. Trinidad worked for many years as a carpenter. He also worked in a factory where he took care of plants. He grew to love all different kinds of plants and became very knowledgeable about them. He was a great cook and had an amazing personality. Trinidad was always willing to help people out and made sure he was the life of the party by making sure everyone had a great time and had many laughs. Trinidad was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved the “maquinitas.”
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Felipe and Christina Rodriguez; brothers, David and Arturo Maldonado and nephew, Jose Luis Maldonado.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his four sons, TJ (Trevlyn) Maldonado of Hondo, Joel (Ranada Briley) Maldonado, Jaime Quintanilla and Danny Quintanilla all of Falfurrias; daughters, Christina (Emilio) Luna of Hondo and Brandi (Joseph) Cantu of Falfurrias; sisters, Teresa Calderon, Gloria (Arturo) Garza and Yolanda ( Gilbert, Jr.) Garza all of Falfurrias, Alicia (George) Williams of Mathis, Texas, Oralia Maldonado of Baytown, Texas and Maria (Juan) Garcia of Premont, Texas; numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Noah Maldonado, Randy Maldonado, Kyle Smith, Trina Maldonado, Ben Garcia and Bryan Garza. Honorary Pallbearers will be TJ Wofford, Michael Maldonado, TJ Maldonado, Emilio Luna and Joel Maldonado.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
