Affectionately known as Chris, he served his country with honor in the Army and later represented the UAW with pride. For 34 years, he dedicated his talents and expertise to General Motors North American Truck Platforms, leaving an incredible mark as a trusted trainer and developer.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chris found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He reveled in the camaraderie of the golf course, sharing laughter with his long-time buddies. His culinary mastery brought delight to family and friends with meals prepared with love and care.
Above all, Chris treasured his family. He was the epitome of strength balancing tough love and unwavering support. His leadership, humor, wisdom, and generosity touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Chris will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his devoted family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Chris was preceded in death by his mom, Beatriz, his sister Estella and his sons Christopher Michael Valdez and Daniel Harris. He is survived by his wife, Dawn; his children Erica Siller, Deanna Siller, Carlos (Jenna) Valdez, Adrian (Angelica) Gonzalez and Jessica Harris; grandchildren Christina Durbin, Marissa Valdez, Robert Roman, Riley Ministrelli, Nickalas Siller and Taylor Valdez. Chris is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
