Erwin “Erv” Smrz, 88, of Elmhurst formerly of North Riverside passed away August 17, 2011. Beloved husband of Vlasta; loving father of Ronald (Diane) Smrz and Nancy Stehlik; loving grandfather of Teresa Kovalik, Gail (Cris) Kucera, and Jennifer (Jeff) Ullrich; proud great grandfather of five. Erwin served in the army during WWII. He was a proud member of VFW and Sokol Tabor. Erwin was the former North Riverside Building Commissioner. Visitation on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W.
