

Lucille Grace Wasko, nee Adams, age 98, longtime resident of Chicago’s West Side, later Cicero, Berwyn, and Downers Grove, passed away peacefully at the Lexington of Lombard on September 11, 2013. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Wasko, her brother Arthur Adams and four generations of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph (Sophia) Adamowicz, her son Raymond Wasko, ex-husband the late Frank Wasko, brothers Joe (the late Barbara) Dargewicz, Casimer (the late Helen) Dargewicz, and Fred (the late Violet) Dargewicz; and sisters Sophia (the late Frank) Wisner and Helen (the late Herbert) Thorfeldt and sisters in law Josephine and Grace Adams. Lucille was a current and one of the original members of Seguin RCA for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities, she was a member of Berean Bible Students Church of Lombard and a longtime employee of Madigan’s Department Store, in River Forest, where she served in the distribution center. Visitation will be held Friday 3-8 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W. Cermak Rd., Forest Park. Funeral Services will be presided by her nephew Minister Dennis Thorfeldt on Saturday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, burial will follow immediately in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
