Michael James Landa

Michael (Mike, Mikey, Lando) Landa passed away at his home in Romeoville on Saturday, February 29th at the age of 45 after a nearly 3-year courageous battle with brain cancer. He was surrounded by the people who loved him most .

Mike was born in Downers Grove, IL on August 11, 1974. He graduated from York High School in 1992. He worked as a printer since graduating from high school.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother Madeline and father James Landa.

Mike is survived by his children Madeline, Michaila, Michael and Stephen (Maria). His sisters Christine (Aaron) and Katie. Nieces Alexis and Mackenzie. His mother-in-law Marianne, as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends. He was Grandpa Land to Sydney.

Mike leaves behind his love of Star Wars, volleyball, beer, and his beloved Great Dane, Monte.

Services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Forest Park. The visitation takes place on Thursday, March 5th from 3pm-8pm. The memorial service on Friday, March 6th from 11am-1pm. Committal service is at 1pm. Following the committal service, friends and family are invited to a luncheon at Connie’s Restaurant, at 3271 S. Harlem Avenue in Berwyn.
