I looked through every photo and read every kind entry. The photos were bitter sweet...seeing what a wonderful full life he lived but missing him. I enjoyed many good talks with him and he always...always offered me a father's welcome. He was one of a kind just a special person on this earth and in God's eyes. I love you Bob.

Dear Marsh Family, Bob and Lori were a special part of going to Wisconsin. They are like our family. I will miss Bob. When we would go to Wisconsin he shared supper with us and spent many nights around the campfire with him. We had such fun going out to a restaurant with him and Lori we could count on our night being filled with good conversation and great friendship. I love you and will miss you. Dear Bob
I have just returned from Canada ….stopping at the cottage on Mahoney Road just to rest for one night.  It was different….. knowing you will not be there again. The journey is a long one. The hour late. The road off  RT. 40 was gravelly as it always was. The night was oppressively dark as it always is.The trees  a little foreboding. The gate was fastened and we fought a million mosquitoes before it opened to the house up ahead that seemed a little darker and more somber ,unwelcoming. You could not be there ahead of us, in your kind and thoughtful way… anticipating our arrival, preparing our way to make it easy on us….inviting for us…You would unlock the gate …turn on the house lights…making sure all was tip top shape for our arrival….welcoming the night of our arrival and the days ahead that our family and yours would share with laughter, love and friendship,  great meals cooked by Lori…and stories…could you tell great stories! You  shared with Joe a love of nature and a work ethic that each respected and admired in the other, I think….that made you both  friends. You were  my go-to guy…”my agent”, I called you…and you could be counted on lend a hand, offer support…more than that really…you …. looked…for ways to help me and my family …you …looked for things to make our life easier.  And that was…how you  always were….. kind…. selfless. My family has been blessed in having had you with us as a neighbor and a friend. You are truly, sorely missed There is an ache in our hearts Lori and your family. ….but I know you will be Ok. I have asked Joe to take you by the hand and show you where the good fishing holes are.

There is so much to say about this special man and his life.
My Dad was a dedicated husband, a wonderful father and grandfather and a remarkable man.
He spoke volumes with just a look or gesture, and taught many lessons of patience, tolerance, kindness and forgiveness, by his example.
He was genuine, kind and thoughtful.
He always had time to help others or show sincere gratitude to those who helped him.
His internal strength was beyond measure.
No matter what his suffering was, he never took it out on anyone. When I asked him how he does it he said: "you just grit your teeth and bear it."
If you had  a difficult task that you didn't want to do he would say "suck-it-up."
If you were moving to slow it would be:" get go-en."
Dad took adversities and molded them into a positive outcome. He did not linger on negativity; instead lived by his mottos:" What are ya gunna do" and "Let it go" and "One day at a time."
I will always be fortunate, because I had you for my Dad. You were always a strong, caring and committed man. You took all life had to give and made it better. You asked for little and gave so much.
Now when ever I hear a bird chirp, see a beautiful sky or a "perty" flower, or Blue Bunny ice cream, or popcorn or garlic dip & chips-(just to list a few), my heart will ache with the loss of you, but will quickly be reminded of all the goodness life has to offer---IF---I remember to look and listen with all the amazing "gifts" you have left with me.
We are under a heavy cloud of sadness and grief, but, hopefully , as time passes, this will lighten enough to remember your goodness as it has touched each of our lives in a very special way & we will be able to smile when we share our stories of you. We are all going to have to: "Suck-it-up" and take "One day at a time."
We were blessed to share in your life, which made our lives richer.
My memories of you will always be: "My Dad: The Great & Wonderful."
We will Love & Miss You Always.

Bob we truly missed you and Lori last weekend at the cabin.  We had a huge fireworks display in you honor.  Believe it or not we had no accidents so Lori would have been very safe.  We miss you and our prayers are with you Lori and family.

Awesome photos of Bob and family!  All of us at the James cabin will miss Bob, in fact we already have over the last year and a half.  Bob's one of the nicest men I've ever met and always a gentleman and a great friend to all of us.  We set off the annual fireworks show this past weekend in honor of Bob!  He always enjoyed the night with us and looked forward to listening to all the stories at the campfire (enjoying a "couple" of beers) after the fireworks show.  We are so sorry for your loss,
