

Susan Jean Sicotte left this world on February 4, 2022. She was born in 1955 to Albert (deceased) and Marlyn Sicotte. She was the loving wife of Ed Jepson for 27 years and the devoted mother of Nicholas, Eric, and Halley Jepson. She is also survived by her brothers Mike Sicotte (Adriana) and Rich Sicotte (Catalina) and her nephews Aaron, Mitchell, and Julian and her niece Carolina, as well as her extended family.
Susan grew up in Rockford and graduated from Tulane University. After working for some years in social work and travel she graduated from The University of Chicago Medical School. Following her internship and residency in Neurology at The University of Chicago, she completed a fellowship at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital and medical school.
Susan spent more than 20 years practicing Neurology with Neurological Care Associates and on staff at MacNeal Hospital, RML, and Loyola University Medical Center. Susan was known as a thorough, caring and excellent physician.
Susan also devoted time to her children’s activities, the community and charitable efforts. As an example, she was a Girl Scout troop leader for many years culminating in a trip to Switzerland and Berlin for her troop.
Susan blessed us with her presence on this earth and will be missed by many with whom she crossed paths.
A memorial service will be held on February 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 400 Nuttall Road, Riverside, Illinois. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM at the church that day. Due to COVID, masks are required at the church.
