Minnie was a big part of my childhood, and her passing will not diminish my memories of her generosity, kindness and patience.  My sincere condolences to her daughter and my best friend always, Linda De Las Cuevas, and to the entire family.  Know that you are all being thought of.  With Love, Lindalou

I learned many things from my mom.  She taught me the importance of  strength of character, loyalty and what is means to be a friend. My mom had many talents, including the gift of telling stories.  I learned so much listening to them .  Some mothers sing their children to sleep at night.  My mom told me stories--so many colorful stories. My favorite ones were about immigrants arriving in the United States and their struggles surviving in the Blue Island area of Chicago. I am sure my mom's stories affected my decision to become a bilingual teacher.  Indeed my mom, my first teacher, my most important role model in life, was my inspiration.  I will miss her very very much.  "Amen, God-Man,"  Mommy.

Ah Minnie---it was a good and long run.  We admire your life so well lived. How many people have had your joie de vivre? Little Village is truly smaller without you. All our love to Jeannie, Keith, Scott, and the Jelly Baby.

My sympathy to Jeanne, Keith, and Scott.  I will always remember Minnier for her amazing sense of humor.  She was even joking with Bill the last time we saw her in Washington DC.

Though we lived in separate states and I was not able to spend very much time with my grandmother, I loved her very much. I'll always remember her epic peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and  the time she told me the story of how Abraham Lincoln was assassinated  by John Wilkes Booth.- "Booth...what a funny name ha?" said my grandmother. She will be missed by many. I'm sure she's causing quite the stir in heaven!

My mother, Wilhelmina, was a source of joy, fun and happiness to her children, grandchildren and everyone who knew her.  I was with her when she passed, as was her grandson, Keith Campbell.  She died quietly and peacefully just twenty minutes after we arrived.  My son Keith said, "Grandma waited until we got there."  I think that is true.  Her daughter, Jeannie
