

Beverly J. “Bev” Garcia, 88, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. She was born on August 21, 1937, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Noble H. Rhodes and Julia E. (Brown) White. She attended Central High School. She mostly worked as a homemaker, caring for her family and home, but she worked in a variety of jobs around Fort Wayne. She was a long-time member of Fellowship Missionary Church, where she enjoyed volunteering and working with the youth as well as being involved in other church activities. She will be remembered for her faith and great enjoyment in serving the Lord. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and doing arts and crafts. Surviving family include her beloved children, Marcia Renee (Lang) Bliss, Amado Garcia, Deseri (Kathryn Bowling) Garcia, Marina (Randall) McBride, and Antonio (Kimberley) Garcia; grandchildren, Ashley (Yoni), Jarred, Zane (Karly) Bliss, Jamison, Isaac, Amado, Niles Bliss, Samantha, and Gabriel; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Horn. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by an infant son, Ricardo Garcia; brother, Bill Troop; and sister, Sandy Macht. A funeral service will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
