David William Richards

David William Richards, 55, of Fort Wayne, died on April 28, 2014, at home. Born on June 11, 1958 in Hanover PA, he was a son of Thomas Richards, who survives, and the late Margaret (Richburg) Richards. Surviving are his daughter, Morgan Richards; his sons, Jens Richards, Brennan Richards, and Rees Richards; his brother, Thomas Richards Jr.; his sister, Dawn Johns; and his three grandchildren, Cole Richards, Nicholas Bolin, and Kaine Bolin. Upon graduating from North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, GA, David attended Southern Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He worked in Manufacturing Engineering, Subcontracts and Procurement at Exelis for 25 years. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was also an avid fan of NASCAR, Corvettes and any activities in which his children and grandchildren were involved. Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday May 3, at Hockemeyer & Miller funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be from 2-4pm & 6-8pm Friday May 2 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
