Dean J. Didion, age 68, passed away, on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at his home with family and a dear friend present. Dean was the son of LeAnne M. (Gebhart) and Lawrence J. Didion. He attended Queen of Angels Grade School, North Side High School, and Indiana University. He graduated with degrees in accounting and finance, both with highest honors. Dean's major interests included: taking care of his family, trading stocks, the guitar, rifle marksmanship, and Notre Dame and Chicago Bears football. He was a Benefactor member of the National Rifle Association and a life member and a former officer of the Fort Wayne Rifle and Revolver Club. Surviving family members include his brothers Martin (Susan) and Michael Didion and his nieces: Jill (Jeremiah) Whelchel, Beth Butler, Amy (Scott) Gilliam, Melissa (Troy) Moore, and several great nieces and nephews. Dean was extremely loyal to his family and friends. Mary, Mark Berghoff, Rick Bodeker, Gary Caboni, Mike Rogers, and Christopher Waldron were among his most cherished friends. The Funeral Mass, to be offered for the repose of Dean's soul, will be celebrated at 10:30 am, December 4th at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W. State Blvd. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery. Family and friends wishing to pay their respects will be received at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. The family's preferred memorial is Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
