Diane Sue Hostetler, 71, of Fort Wayne, passed away on March 23, 2021. Born on November 13, 1949, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Fairy (nee Potts) Kennedy and grew up in Antwerp, OH.
Diane married William (Bill) Hostetler in 1972, and they raised two daughters. She devoted her life to her children, leaving her position at HWI when her first child was born. Diane was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William Hostetler; daughters, Kylee (Jeremy) Heinold, of Fort Wayne, IN, and Kelsey (Matthew) Frazier, of Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Owen and Landon Heinold, and Graham Frazier; and siblings, Barbara (Ken) Thiel, John (Ruth) Kennedy, Carrie Jones, Hazen (Ava) Kennedy, and Roland “Pudge” (Linda) Kennedy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne), with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home (6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne). Burial will take place in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
