

Dominic A. Lancia, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away on April 23, 2015. Born on March 4, 1920, in Pettorano sul Gizio, Italy, he was a son of the late Fiore and Gusepina (DiCenzo) Lancia. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #451 and proudly served his country in the US Army. Before moving to Fort Wayne, he was a resident of Weirton, West Virginia. He retired in 1978 as a foreman from Weirton Steel. He loved gardening, woodworking, traveling and visiting casinos. He is survived by his wife, Marian Lancia; children, Floyd (Betty Lou) Lancia, Jim (Barbie) Lancia and Cynthia (Terry Dornseif) Lancia; grandchildren, Dianne Lancia, Matthew Lancia, Christine Habig, Jamie Lancia, Jody Rutkowski and Brice Densmore; and nine great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Monday April 27, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 6pm, Sunday April 26, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with a rosary service at 5:30pm. Entombment will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to IU Medical Center or Riley Children’s Hospital
