DOROTHY M. GOON, 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 10th. Born in New Paris Indiana, she retired as a retail sales manager from S. S. Kresge Company. She was a long time member of Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren where she sang in the choir. Dorothy’s passions were music, singing and family. She was particularly fond of annual family vacations. Surviving her are her sister Helen Peterson of Goshen; her daughters, Theresa (Willie) Waldo of Lyle Tennessee, Debbie (Jerry) Goodman of Indianapolis, Beth (Barney) Goon-Jones of Nashville Tennessee, Karen (Mark) Goon-Johnson of Little Mountain South Carolina; son Duane (Janet) Goon of Yorktown Virginia along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Marie Kiefer; brother Merle Kiefer and former husband Dale Goon. Services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, October 4 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Alzheimer’s Association or the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra
