

Edward H. Redmon, 79, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Edward was born on September 5, 1945 in Muskegon, Michigan, a son of the late Victor E. and Pauline (Loper) Redmon. He graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1963 and earned an Associates Degree in Business Administration from IIT. He worked for GTE for 40 years before retiring in 1994. He also served as a lay interim minister from 1998 to 2004 with the ELCA denomination. He was a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. In his free time, he served as a chaplain for the Fort Wayne Fight Club and as HOA president of Old Brook Farm. He also enjoyed fishing and music. Surviving family include his wife, Marceile Redmon; children, Christina (John) Toppen, Edward J. (Kim) Redmon, Kathy Hutchins, Scott Redmon, and Timothy Redmon; grandchildren, Tristen Hutchins, Melanie Hutchins, Alyssa Bucio, Demri Redmon, Garrett Redmon, Heather Akers, and Shelby Lafersky; great grandchildren, Layla'mah Blain and Lucas Hubner-Hanline; and siblings, Karel Hamilton, Chuck Redmon, David (Barbara) Redmon, George Redmon, Michael Redmon, Bruce (Diane) Redmon, all of Muskegon. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brother, Gary Redmon. A funeral service will be 10:30 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Promise Lutheran Church, 7323 Schwartz Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Memorials in Edward's memory may be made to Fort Wayne Fight Club, Promise Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, or Concordia Lutheran Seminary, Fort Wayne.
