Gene R. Madden, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away on September 12, 2015. Born on June 18, 1938, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Richard and Celeste Madden and retired from GE after 33 years of service as a wire mill inspector.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Madden; daughters, Beth Ann Navickas and Jan Madden; step-children, Marsha (Tim) Coffelt and Stan Collar; sister, Karen (Gary) Boyd; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Madden.
Funeral service will be 11am, Wednesday September 16, at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 6600 Covington Road. Calling will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Tuesday September 15, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to P.A.L., the Police Athletic League, Fort Wayne.
