Helen S. Nichols

HELEN S. NICHOLS, 86, of Fort Wayne, died on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at her residence. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Alexandria Falba. She attended school at St. Hyacinth Basilica Catholic School. She retired from Wayne Candies in 1973. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Rosary Sodality and Women's Club at Good Hope Catholic Church. "Her strong faith carried her throughout her lifetime." Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Vicki Nichols of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Angela (Kevin) Hartman of Auburn; great-grandchildren, Celeste Hartman and Logan Hartman; beloved dog, Benji; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David C. Nichols; son, Michael Nichols; sisters, Irene Molargik, Mary Mills, Stella Sheets, Lottie Tieman, and Tillie Blakey; and brother, Bruno Falba. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, with calling 1 1/2 hours prior. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials to St. Vincent dePaul, S.P.C.A. or for Masses. Arrangements by Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home.
