Howard K. Schneider

Howard K. Schneider, 85, of Fort Wayne, died December 10, 2010 at Bethlehem Woods Nursing Home. Born in May 4, 1925 in Delphos, Ohio, he was the son of Leo J. and Verda B. (Steuart) Schneider. He was a contract administrator for ITT, AOD Division, retiring in 1992 after 37 years. He was a 48 year member of First Presbyterian Church, a member of the church Chancel Choir for 43 years, participated in the Philharmonic Chorus, was a member of the ITT bowling league and was an American Red Cross Blood Donor for many years. Surviving family included his wife of 58 years Mary Frances (Snyder) Schneider, daughters, Johanna Schneider of Lafayette and the Rev. Gretchen Schneider of Indianapolis, son, David (Dr. Dawn Frank) Schneider of Delphi; sister, Beverle Schneider of Fort Wayne; nieces, nephews and many friends. Celebration of Life Service is 11a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne Street with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Gretchen Schneider officiating. There will be a reception following the service in McKay Hall. Private burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the music department at church of Matthew 25.
