Jacquelyn "Jackie" Collins

On Sunday, December 26, 2021, Jacquelyn (Jackie) Jo Collins, loving mother of five children, grandmother of 19, and great grandmother of 24 passed away of natural causes at the age of 84. Jackie was born on March 08, 1937 in Lafayette, IN to Harold (Chick) and Caroline (Mabel) Seaman. She graduated from South Side High school and spent most of her life in Fort Wayne IN, and lived briefly as a child in Kokomo IN. Jackie worked for Midwest Federal Credit Union in Fort Wayne and retired from the Indiana Department of Transportation in Fort Wayne in 2009. She enjoyed her work and especially cherished the friendships she made at the credit union and at the state. Jackie raised 3 daughters, Candace (Christon) Brown (Timothy) of Waterford MI, Kelly (Collins) Simpson (Robert decd.), and Shawna (Devin Abernathy); and raised 2 sons, Todd of Dexter MI, and Scott (Alana). Jackie is survived by her brother, Max Seaman; and all 5 children. She was preceded in death by both her parents; sister, Karen Kayser; and grandson, Alex. A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, January 22, 2021 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home 6131 St. Joe Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835 with visitation beginning at 10am.
