James A. Saylor, 73, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Parkview Hospital – Randallia. He was born in Lima, Ohio, on June 26, 1948, to the late Mary Ella (nee Grew) and the late Robert Saylor.
Jim graduated from Leo High School in 1968. Retired from Dana Corporation after 33 years of service. He loved fishing, landscaping—especially planting trees, going to auctions, and boating. He also loved his golden doodles, Kaylee and Jack.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Joyce Saylor; sons, Duane Saylor and Daniel Saylor, both of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Janet Dirig of Churubusco, and Brenda Gaskill of Woodburn; four brothers, Robert Saylor II of Leo, David Saylor of Garrett, Dennis Saylor of Waterloo, and Ronald Saylor of Auburn; and other relatives.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 12, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home (6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne), with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm, 3 hours prior to the service.
