Jo devoted 25 years to shaping young lives as a teacher at Haley Elementary School, where she taught from 1985 until her retirement in 2010. She deeply loved her students and found great joy in teaching and encouraging others.
Traveling was a favorite past time, having went on 16 cruises and many bus trips with her church group. Jo participated on many bowling leagues, and achieved a perfect 300 game. Jo's greatest passion was playing games with her family and friends, especially mahjong. Her grandkids would make special trips to stop by and play games with her, something they will fondly remember. She also loved 60's music, specifically Herman's Hermits and the Beatles. She was Peter Noone's biggest fan.
Jo was an active member of Cedar Creek Church in Fort Wayne and First Christian Church in Fort Myers. Her faith was a guiding presence throughout her life.
Jo will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, David Allen Nuttle; her daughters, Robin (Aron) Dellinger of Warsaw and Nicole Ley of Fort Wayne; her son, Gregory Nuttle of Reno; 11 cherished grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild expected soon.
Her kindness, dedication, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
