John York, 78, of Leo, passed away on January 12, 2016. Born in 1937, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Ben and Edna York; and retired from Value City Furniture after several years of service. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jackie York; children, Kerry (Pati) York, Kraig (Frances) York, Jeff (Cindy) Bemis, Greg Bemis and Christa (Chad) Houser; siblings, Mary Ostermeyer, Robert York and Albert York; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tom York.
Visitation will be Tuesday at 10AM, with memorial service to follow at 11AM. Promise Lutheran Church 7323 Schwartz Rd, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital or to the Allen County SPCA.
