25 April, 1940 – 5 April, 2024
IN THE CARE OF
Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home
Kenneth W. Lehman, 83, of Fort Wayne went home to be with Jesus, Friday, April 5, 2024. He was born on April 25, 1940 in Fort Wayne to the late Jasper and Alice (Norquist) Lehman. He married Rose (Paulus) Parker on December 31, 1990; she survives. Kenn accepted Jesus when he was 12 years old, beginning a long, faithful, devoted journey of service for the Lord. He attended Fort Wayne Bible College but decided the pulpit wasn’t his ministry. His was more of a ministry of prayer and loving on the people he met. Kenn witnessed many answers to prayers, including miraculous healings. He never knew a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone, knowing that he would eventually talk to them about Jesus. Second only to his love for Jesus was the love for his wife Rose. Loving her, honoring her and cherishing her to the very end. They would share many road adventures traveling all across the country on their motorcycle, especially to Texas. He loved and was proud of his family, including Mark (Michele) Sherwood and many other god children he and Rose cared for throughout the years. And last but not least, he loved his dogs, most recently “Missy” his Shih Tzu. He worked hard in life, owning and operating Lehman Landscaping for 30 years. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and coveted his prayers. Kenn is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rose; two children, Karinne Sherwood, and Kurt Lehman; step daughter Danielle (Greg) Johnson and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Ann Lehman. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, April 15, 2024 at First Assembly of God, 1400 W Washington Center Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, Pastor Jim Rea will officiate the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private.
