Leonard C. Davis

LEONARD C. DAVIS, 72, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. He retired from Zollner Corporation after 35 years. "He was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed using his skills for friends and family." Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Davis; sons, Michael C. (Lisa) Davis and Kurt E. (Christina) Davis, both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Michelle (Randy) Kostka of Fort Wayne and Kristine Davis of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Tyler, Kendra, Aaron, Matthew, Mykenzie, Alexis, and Bryce; and brothers, James Davis and Sylvester Davis, both of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Davis; and sister, Delores Bletzacker. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, with calling one hour prior. calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with a vigil service at 4 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Catholic Charities or Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
