LESLIE DIANE (HIRSCHBIEL) BUTCHER, 58, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at Baylor Heart Hospital in Texas. She was born a daughter of Charles and Carole Hirschbiel on Nov. 18, 1955 in Fort Wayne, Ind. She was a graduate of Bishop Dwenger High School and worked for GTE for four years. Leslie loved her family and pets, gardening, cooking, and antiques. Surviving are her husband, Paul Butcher; son, Christopher M. Butcher; daughter, Lori D. Butcher; son, Marc D. Trovatore; mother, Carole Hirschbiel; brother, James Hirschbiel; and sister, Linda Miller. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hirschbiel. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at St. Judes Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Soup Kitchen or Mathew 25.
