MARILYN E. BELL, 83, of Fort Wayne, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Golden Years Homestead. Born Aug. 17, 1927, she was a member of North Park Community Church. She retired in 1985 from Montgomery Wards after 19 years of service. She enjoyed camping, reading and doing things with with her family. She and her husband enjoyed participating in the Johnny Appleseed Festival for over 15 years. Surviving are her sons, Steven M. (Judi) Bell of Hudson, Timothy E. (Linda) Bell of Cumming, Ga. and Jeffrey L. (Kathi) Bell of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, in 2009; and brothers, Eugene and Donald Schmeling. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Scott Qualls officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Preferred memorials to the church.
