R. Anne Sheets, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Parkview Hospital. Born Jan. 31, 1934, in Fort Wayne, she retired from Parkview Hospital in 1992 after 25 years of service. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and she helped establish the Fort Wayne Chapter of the National Spinal Cord Injury Foundation. Surviving are her husband, Frederick M.; daughter, Kathy (Dave) Allen of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Annette and Derek Allen; sister Maurine Saalfrank of Fremont, Ind.; brothers, Edgar Brackmann of Fort Wayne and Virgil (Marianne) Brackmann of Jacksonville, Fla. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4245 Lake Ave. with calling one hour prior. Pastor Kevin Wendt officiating. Call also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Entombment in Concordia Gardens. Preferred memorials to Concordia Lutheran Church.
