Robin Alicia Jump, 65, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 23, 2020 after a 6 year battle with a rare terminal neurological disease. She was greeted at the gates of heaven by her parents Serbando and Fernetta Barrientos and her brothers Marc Barrientos and Chris Barrientos.
Her spirit lives on here on earth, within her husband, Bruce Jump of Grabill; her children, Emily (James) Beemer of Fort Wayne, IN, Andrew (Kathryn) Jump of Winston-Salem, NC; Betsy (Tyler) Derouin of Grabill, IN; as well as within her grandchildren, Ethan, Aubrey, Issac, Levi, and Willow.
Robin was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend to all who knew her and had the privilege of meeting her. Robin was an exceptional Registered Nurse serving those in and around the Fort Wayne area for over 40 years. She was also involved in a Christian Clown Ministry and served as “Lovey Dovey” teaching many local children about the love and promise in God’s word. She was a devoted mother, wife, and faithful servant of God. Robin was the definition of unconditional love and graciousness. She volunteered in many different ways in her church and in her community. She was a member of the Grabill Country Fair Board, President of the Grabill Town Council, member of the Grabill Chamber of Commerce, director and writer of several dramas at church, just to name a few things she gave her time and energy to. She was a friend to the friendless, an ear that would listen to anything on your mind, and someone you could find wisdom and comfort in. She will be greatly missed to all those who knew and loved her. As she lived her life, her prayer for you would be that you would trust in the name of Jesus Christ for salvation and the forgiveness of sin. Jesus changes everything.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at North Leo Mennonite Church (15419 IN-1, Leo, IN 46765), with calling one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home (6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne).
