Theodore (Ted) James Busch, 62, passed away on December 27. He was born in Eugene, Oregon, the son of the late Reverend E. D. Busch and Marie Busch. The family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1960, when Ted’s father became pastor at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Ted graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School and later earned an accounting degree from IPFW. Ted spent his career working for UPS, retiring in 2012. He always enjoyed activities associated with area lakes and was a big fan of the Mad Ants. Ted was a member of St. Peter’s Church. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Smallwood) Busch, daughter, Heidi (Jayme) Kessens, and sons, Jared and Nick. Ted had four siblings, Katherine Schultz, Lawrence, Charles and Robert Busch. His mother, Marie, continues to reside in Fort Wayne.
Funeral service will be 10:30am, Thursday, January 5, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 5 to 8pm, Wednesday, January 4, at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to the family.
