Alma Viola Smith Arnold was born in Pineville, Missouri on March 31, 1939, and grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas. She went to be with her Eternal Savior, Jesus Christ on August 3, 2025. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 10am at Dove Witt Family Mortuary, US Hwy 85/87, Fountain, Colorado. Visitation will be before service at 9am.
She is survived by her son Douglas and his wife Becki; two granddaughters Misty and her husband Don, and Megan; four great grandchildren McKaylea, Zoey, Madison, and AJ; two sisters Rosetta Lingle of California, and Judy Guffey of Kansas. Preceding her in death was her husband of 65 years Carl, and her son Danny.
She graduated from Hutchinson High School in Hutchinson, Kansas in 1957. She married Carl Arnold, and they later moved to Colorado. She was employed with Widefield School District 3 for 33 years. She was elected as Classified Employee of the year while at Sproul Jr. High School. She served at her church as Missionary President for nearly 20 years. She received the Distinguished Service Award for her dedication and service.
In her retirement years, she served as Director of Prime-Time Senior Group. She loved bringing joy to others by creating themes and programs for the senior meetings.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Children’s Ministry of Widefield Community Bible Church, 702 Quebec St. Colorado Springs, Colorado.
