Bettye J. Whitehead passed away on January 27th, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 79. Bettye was born on January 16, 1934 in East Prairie, Missouri to James Franklin Legue and Molly Abigail (Goodman) Legue.
Bettye was married to Curtis “Bud” Whitehead. Bettye was a homemaker. She was a vivacious, outgoing and warm mother, wife and friend.
She is survived by her son, Michael Whitehead, two grandsons Zachary and Thad Whitehead, and sister, Naomi Legue. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Molly Legue and her husband Bud.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4th, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at Dove Witt Family Mortuary. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, February 5th, at 2:00 p.m., at Dove Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Hwy 85 87, Fountain, Colorado. Burial will follow the services at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Colorado Springs, Colorado.
