

Beverly Ann Moenning Weinert passed away at home peacefully on October 15, 2024. She was born on January 23, 1931 in Colorado Springs, CO. Her family moved to Hiawatha, KS. when she was a young child. She met her future husband, John, on a blind date. They married on August 1, 1951. They moved to Colorado with four young girls in 1958 and eventually settled in Fountain, CO.
She was a charter member of Good Shepherd UM Church in 1959 and loved and supported her church family. Beverly had a smile for everyone. She made sure she welcomed every new person. She was also an active member of United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Fountain Historical Society and the state and local Grange.
She worked for District 8 as a school cook after all her children started school. She also cooked for several summers at the Lions Deaf and Blind Camp. She obtained her CNA license and spent years caring for patients.
She loved reading non-fiction, traveling, word search puzzles and antiquing. The family spent many Saturdays at farm and estate sales. She loved working in the garden and truly had a green thumb. She could revive any plant, even the ones her daughters tried to kill.
She also loved to play games; cards, board games, dominos, and more. She taught her grandkids and her great grandkids to enjoy family time.
Beverly was preceeded in death by her husband, John, and her daughter, JoAnn. She is survived by her daughters; Shirley(Weinert) Greener and Dexter, Ruth(Weinert) Lee and Steve, and Doris(Weinert) Dickson and Len. She has five grandchildren; Christopher Sheffield(Yari), Amanda Young(Robert), John Tierney, Martha Jackson(Robert), and Franklin Greener(Hailley). She has six great grandchildren; Daniel and Cereza Sheffield, Renee and Evan Young, and Jordis and Sullivan Jackson.
She will be missed.
