

Carson “Kit” Stone, born in Marietta, OH, May 14, 1961, passed away on Nov 8, 2015 inFountain, CO. Carson grew up in the Williamstown and Parkersburg area of West Virginia. After graduating in 1979 from Parkersburg South High School, he joined the Army where he became a heavy equipment operator, a truck driver, and met his wife, Carrol. He excelled in the Army and received many awards. In 1991, he was honorably discharged and became an over the road truck driver. He and his wife spent the next 13 years on the road as team drivers, logging over 2 million miles. In December 2004, he started as a truck driving instructor and state certified CDL tester at United States Truck Driving School in Fountain, CO. He was an excellent instructor and much loved by his students.
He loved fishing, hunting, and playing with his puppies, feeding the birds, and home projects. But most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and friends and tell jokes. He had a million of them. He is survived by his wife, Carrol L. Stone, his mother and father, Evalina and Judge Earl of Williamstown, WV, his mother-in-law Inez Williams his brother Tommy Stone of Parkersburg, WV, his sister Kathy Kaltz and her family of Indianapolis, IN, his foster parents, Rick and Kay Stanley of Parkersburg, WV, his brother-in-law, Paul Williams and family of Fountain, CO, and his extended family and friends. He was preceded in
death by his brother, Dean Stone.
Family visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 12:15 pm at the Lynn Street Church of Christ 1714 Lynn St. Pakersburg, WV.
Followed by the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm. A luncheon will be served at the church after the service.
