We are sad to announce the passing of Luise Elizabeth (Simon) Wallis of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She died on June 3, 2023 at age 81. Luise passed away at her home while surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services will be held at Dove Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. US Highway 85/87 Fountain, CO 80817 at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service at 9:00 am.
Luise was born on September 10, 1941 in Gladenbach, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johannes and Luise Simon; brother, Manfred Simon; son, Michael Gooding. She is survived by her husband, Gary Wallis; son, Steven Gooding; sister, Helga Leonard; and 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
Luise was a long-time member of the Germania Club of Colorado Springs and was very active with the Fountain Valley Harmonizers.
Interment will be held at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado at a later date.
