Nancy Lee Stewart

Nancy was born in Granite City, Illinois to Walter & Jewell Oehlecker. She

graduated from Granite City High Scool and attended Southern Illinois University

where she met Glenn Stewart while working on the school newspaper.

Glenn & Nancy married on 5/23/1963.

While Glenn served in the Army, they moved to Germany. Within one year of living

in Germany, they adopted Jon Stewart, adopted Alicia Stewart & then Nathan

Stewart was born as their natural child.

They served seven years in Germany and then moved to several different states

before making their final move to Colorado. They were stationed on Ft Carson and

then bought a home in Fountain where they lived for 33 yrs.

She worked with special needs children in District 8. She loved animals, art, music,

books, movies & cooking. She was very generous and made others laugh with her wit

& humor.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years Glenn Stewart, Son Jon Stewart & his

wife Stella of Pueblo, CO, Daughter Alicia Stewart of Loveland, CO, Son Nathan

Stewart of Security, CO, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Brother Donald

Oehlecker of Washington and numerous other extended family.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 15th at 2pm at Dove-Whitt

Family Mortuary, 6630. S US Hwy 85/87, Fountain, CO. A reception will

immediately follow.
