

Captain (Ret) Robert Patrick Cole (Patrick) (Bob), passed away peacefully on 13 Dec 2020 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born in Fort Smith, AR on 23 July 1960. He graduated from South Side High School in 1978. Upon graduation Bob entered the Army as a Combat Medic and went on to become a Respiratory Therapist and ultimately received his Masters Degree in Physician Assistant studies. He served in various posts around the world including, Korea (2 tours), Germany, Kuwait and Jordon.
Bob was married to Esther T. Cole (Wallick) in 1983 while they were both serving at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. They celebrated 37 years of marriage in October.
Bob’s last assignment was as an Associate Professor at the Interservice Physician Assistant Program in San Antonio. He was a passionate and very well revered educator, especially by his students. After retiring with 25 years of service he taught at Texas Tech Health Science Center as an Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies for two years. He was asked to return to the faculty of the Interservice Physician Assistant Program as a civilian where he taught until 2016.
He is survived by his wife Master Sergeant (Ret) Esther T. Cole; loving children, Dr. Melissa Cole (Kevin Pichot) of Colorado Springs, CO; Reserve Army Staff Sereant/ Firefighter James Gregory (Jessica) of Fairmount, GA; precious grandchildren, Andrew, Brett, Jayden, Jasper, Harmony and Julian; siblings, Charles E. Cole Jr. (Kara), Michael Cole (Patti). He was preceded in death by his younger brother John S. Cole (Jeanna); cousins, John Frank Fisher (Carla) and Gary Fisher.
Military burial with full military honors will take place 29 December 2020 at Pikes Peak National Cemetery at 1300 hrs.
