"Sugar" R. Tom Evancich passed away on May 21, 2016. He was born on Sept 8, 1933 in the small coal mining camp of Rugby, Colorado to Nick and Mary Evancich. He grew up in Aguilar, Colorado and was the youngest of seven children all which preceded him in death.
Sugar worked as a Casino Dealer in Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas before retiring and returning to Colorado Springs in 2005.
He leaves behind is loving wife of 53 years, Esta Lea Evancich, and his beloved nieces, nephews, friend and doggies.
Sugar always loved telling his life stories. He was an avid golfer. He took enormous pride in his perfectly manicured yard and spotless cars.
Services will be held on June 1st, 2016 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Security, Colorado. Rosary at 10:30AM, Mass following at 11:00AM. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Celebration of Sugar’s life will be at St. Dominic Catholic Church Reception Hall at 1:30PM.
