

Rosemarie Sonja (Brown) Blair, age 63, passed away September 30, 2013, with family beside her in her Colorado Springs home.
Rose was born in Mainz, Germany, on April 17, 1950, to Eugene W. Brown and Sonja E. (Meyer) Brown. They eventually settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1965. Rose graduated from Widefield High School in 1968 and married Larry Rawlinson the same year. Their daughter Andrea was born in 1973. Rose later divorced (1976); however, she remained close friends with Larry, his wife Sandy, and their son, Josh. She married Ronald D. Blair in 2000.
Rose owned her own hair salon for many years. Initially she worked in her home and later moved her business, Hair It Is, to Astrozon and Academy. In 1988 Ron and Rose opened their drive-through liquor store, R & R Liquor, on Main St.
Rose loved spending time with her family and friends, taking vacations, and helping her granddaughter, Maddie, ride horses. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, skiing, boating, and trap-shooting. She was a member of Pikes Peak Christian Church.
Rose is survived by her mother Sonja Brown, husband Ronald, daughter Andrea Johnson (Brian), grandchildren Madeline Rose and Aidan Wade, brother Mitch and family, and sister Tammy and family. She was preceded in death by her father Eugene Brown and her sister Marilyn (Brown) Wright.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 4th at Pikes Peak Christian Church, 4955 Bradley Road, Colorado Springs. Memorials may be sent to the family for a beneficiary to be named later. Funeral Services by Dove Witt Family Mortuary, Fountain, CO.
