

Thomas George Kohones, passed away on January 28, 2022 at the age of 41. He was born on May 14, 1980 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to his loving mother and father Tammy and Kenny. Tom was lucky to have four loving parents, Tammy and Smitty(Stephen) Smith and Kenny and Sandi Kohones. Tom was raised by Tammy and Smitty and they shaped Tom into the loving man he was. Tom was the second born of four brothers and loved to joke that he was his mom's favorite. His brothers JR, Levi and Jake were Tom's best friends. Tom was married to the love of his life Karlie. They have 4 Children Jocelyn, Kai, Kenzleigh and Tater who were the heartbeat of Tom's world. Tom was the most proud and loving uncle to Keylynn, Logan, Jessamine and his newest niece or nephew on the way.
Tom graduated from Fountain Fort Carson high school in 1999. After graduating Tom went to work in the construction field, following in the footsteps of his dad Smitty. Tom learned his work ethic and dedication from Smitty. Tom loved to operate heavy machinery and was so proud of the many projects that he helped build throughout his career. Tom's career took him to Kuwait and he always talked so fondly of that adventure. Tom was recently learning how to make bids on construction projects and was so excited for what his career could hold for him in the future.
Tom married Karlie in 2010 and together they shared a life full of unconditional love and happiness.
Tom loved to target shoot, he was very proud of his gun collection and was always on the hunt for his next gun purchase. Tom especially enjoyed target shooting with his brothers. Tom was passionate about cars and loved the thrill of driving fast and he was so excited that Kenzleigh loved going fast with him.
Tom was such a dedicated father and foster father. Tom's capacity to protect and love was endless. Tom loved being a foster dad and sharing all the love he had in his heart, he would never say no anytime a new child was offered to his home. Tom always said one of the best days of his life was the day he became a dad. Tom enjoyed playing board games with his children and family movie nights.
Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory, devoted wife, Karlie N. Kohones, his loving children Jocelyn, Kai, Kenzleigh and Tater, his parents Tammy and Stephen (Smitty) Smith, his step mother Sandi Kohones, his brothers JR (Erica), Levi (Amy and Logan) and Jake (Katie and Keylynn) and a large circle of friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Kohones, His grandparents George and Joan Kohones and Leslie and Mildred Smith. Tom should be best remembered for his honest, loving, quick witted personality. Visitation will take place Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 4:00-8:00PM, and his celebration of life will be held on Wednesday February 9, 2022 at 5:00PM, at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. US Hwy 85/87 Fountain Colorado 80817.
